This two time award winning portrait of significant Thoroughbred stallion Exchange Rate is framed behind UV ray protective glass and double matted. (Photos of it framed are available on request.) The outside dimensions for the frame are approximately 26" x 24". This painting was juried into The Montgomery Art Guild Regions Bank Exhibition and was one of only 63 pieces of artwork accepted to the 2011 American Academy of Equine Art's Fall Exhibition from over 400 pieces of artwork submitted. In competitions it was Awarded Third Place honors in both the Mungyo/Gallery Pastel Art Contest (National) and in the Eufaula Pilgrimage Art Show.
Exchange Rate was a graded stakes winner of over $479,000 and stood at stud at the highly regarded Three Chimneys Farm in Midway Kentucky, near Lexington. Also a very popular sire of race horses in South America, he was shuttled to Argentina during the Southern Hemisphere breeding season. He sired many stakes winner including the Group I winner Reckless Abandon who, as a two-year old in 2012 was undefeated in Europe.
